Startups have been proving habitually, how they can blend our lives with Technology. A high-tech laundry startup UClean is already on the way. After raising $1 million in February 2018 from Franchise India Holdings Ltd, and Angel Investor Anubhav Chopra, the firm has topped the pre-Series A funding round with another RS 4 crores investment from Chopra.
The total pre-Series A funding is now Rs 10 crores. The startup had received the undisclosed amount as its seed fund from Francine India Holdings Ltd. In late 2016.
“This funding will hold us in good stead while we continue to grow aggressively. The idea has always been to build UClean as a hyperlocal neighbourhood concept, powered in the front end by technology. We are proud to introduce Android and iOS Apps for our end-users”, said Arunabh Sinha, UClean Founder & CEO.
Arunabh plans to operate 300 stores, with 50 stores in Tier 1 cities by 2020 in the country. Arunabh Sinha previously worked as North India Operations head for budget hotel chain Treebo Hotels.
Though the startup revolution has seen many laundry startups during 2014-2017, many of them either vanished or got consolidated by majors.
UClean also offers other cleaning solutions apart from laundry, and the newly added Dry Cleaning service.
